Many of the programs offered by Hospice of Santa Barbara are targeted towards children faced with a loss, says Kenny Slaught. As 20 percent of children lose a loved one before turning 18 and one in 20 experiencing the loss of a parent before that age, the organization provides free moral support and assistance. This helps individuals avoid depression, anxiety or post traumatic stress disorder.
